Once a couple is engaged, the bride starts to look for wedding planning ideas. There are 1,001 things to do when it comes to planning a wedding so a bride will need all the help she can get. The following are some advices that new brides can plan their weddings.

1. Timeline

The best wedding planning advice that should be given to any bride is to plan as early as possible. Set a date that is appropriate for the wedding so that there is plenty of time to iron out all the details. The closer to the actual date of the wedding, the more stressful the bride will be. She needs to set a timeline for herself way ahead of time so she will know exactly what comes next each step of the way. When there is less guesswork, there is less room for error.

2. Budget

After creating a timeline, it’s important to set a wedding budget. Every couple expects to spend a significant amount of money on their big day, however being able to stick to a budget is what makes some couples come out on top. You want to be prepared for all of the expenses instead of getting hit with a hefty bill after the celebration is over. One of the best wedding planning advice is to set a budget that you can afford. Start looking for the wedding photographer, entertainment, dress, caterer, and other vendors months before the wedding date so you have enough time to compare prices. If you don’t think you can afford to invite too many guests, then keep the guest list to a minimum.

3. Booking a venue

Booking a venue for the wedding, deciding on which vendors to use and finding the perfect dress are all incredibly important parts of the wedding planning process. The best way to find the ideal venue, vendors and dress is to shop around. Don’t go with the first thing you see. Get as much information as possible before coming to a decision. It’s crucial to have a handful of other options to be able to compare. That way you won’t likely second guess your decisions down the road.

4. Searching online

If you want to get more great wedding planning ideas, turn to your computer and visit popular wedding websites on the Internet. You can find lots of wedding tips online that are very helpful. There you can look for advice from real brides who have gone through what you are going through. They’ve been there before so you can learn from their mistakes or copy what worked.

In summary, you need to plan your wedding in advance in order to deal with the problems early, making the wedding less stressful. After all, the planning and preparation should be fun. You don’t want to suffer from feelings of overwhelm and anxiety.

What you sow, so shall you reap. It does not get any truer than this as far as health and beauty are concerned. You must have heard the old saying, “You are what you eat.” So if you fill yourself up with oily fries and litres of carbonated drinks, you will have only yourself to blame when you land up with zits on your face and many an additional inch on your waist. Health and beauty go together. This is the reason why we are constantly being told not to pig out on fast food and to refuel ourselves with healthy food instead and burn off those calories with aerobics or a little jogging.

The road to health and beauty is the same. If you eat well, you can be quite sure that you will look good too. We are always being told that it is important to eat a balanced diet. We cannot afford to miss out on any vitamin or mineral.

When women’s studies was created as a curriculum in universities across the U.S. in the late 1960s and early 1970s, “leadership”—the art and science of motivating and managing people and organizations—was not considered a relevant topic. Why? Because women were mostly absent in leadership positions—from politics to business, from media to science, from higher education to nonprofit organizations.

Now, 40 years later, women have led the U.S. Department of State, the House of Representatives and major universities. Women serve on the Supreme Court, anchor the evening news and run businesses as never before. Yet only a handful of the more than 650 women’s studies programs at colleges and universities in the U.S. provide practical and theoretical knowledge necessary for the next generation to make a significant impact on their communities and world.

1. Eat Your Grains
Complex carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, rice, and cereal are a great source of energy, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. Remember that its always better to select whole-grain products, such as whole-wheat bread, brown rice, and oatmeal.

2. Focus on Folic Acid and Iron
Both folic acid and iron are essential for your body to produce the extra blood that your body requires during pregnancy. As well, folic acid is also especially important in the early weeks of pregnancy to prevent the risk of neural tube and congenital heart defects. Iron and folic acid can be found in a wide range of different foods including: dried fruits, beans, whole grains, dark leafy greens, certain meats, and citrus fruits.

3. Fill Up on Fruits and Vegetables
When planning your meals, choose a wide array of fruits and vegetables. They will provide you with vitamins A and C and minerals such as iron and magnesium. Don’t forget to rinse fruits and vegetables carefully before consuming, to remove any traces of pesticides, or consider selecting organic produce.

4. Enjoy Dairy Products in Moderation
Milk, yogurt, cheese, and even ice cream are great sources of protein, calcium, phosphorus, and vitamins. Calcium is vital during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Choose low or non-fat items as often as you can.

5. Drink Lots of Water
Don’t underestimate the importance of drinking water throughout your pregnancy. Water is important for building new tissue, carrying nutrients and waste products within your body, helping digestion, and forming amniotic fluid around your baby. Try to drink at least eight glasses of water each day. Keeping hydrated will also help prevent those painful leg and foot cramps that are extremely common during pregnancy.

5. Try a Mocktail Instead of a Cocktail
For those women who enjoy an occasional glass of wine or cocktail, abstaining from alcohol during pregnancy can be challenging. Instead of envying others alcoholic drinks, try concocting blended fruit juices with fresh fruit for a refreshing and healthy alternative.

6. Avoid These Foods
Some foods are better off avoided throughout pregnancy because of the possibility of health risks to your baby. These foods are sushi, cold lunch meats, raw eggs, raw meats or shellfish, and unpasteurized milk or cheese.

7. Snack to Prevent Morning Sickness
For some women, nausea and vomiting is an unfortunate aspect of pregnancy. While it cannot be completely avoided, there are ways to minimize these uncomfortable symptoms. Eating frequent meals that include both protein and carbohydrates is a way to keep that queasy feeling at bay. Morning sickness is most likely to strike when you have an empty stomach. Chewing gum or popping a mint in your mouth may also help. As ginger has been long known to prevent nausea, try sipping ginger tea.

8. Minimize Heartburn
Heartburn is another not so pleasant part of pregnancy. Pregnancy hormones are the main cause of this unpleasant condition. As well, as your uterus grows, it will press against your stomach and add to this problem. To prevent and relieve heartburn, eat six small meals instead of three big ones, eat slowly, chew your food well, and don’t eat or drink within a few hours of bedtime. As well, prop a few pillows under your shoulders in bed, and if the symptoms are too uncomfortable, ask your midwife or doctor about using antacids.

9. Consider Prenatal Vitamins
While a well-rounded diet should supply almost all of the nutrients that you will need during a pregnancy, you may be prescribed prenatal vitamins or mineral supplements. Remember not to take anything without the advice of your midwife or doctor.

10. Splurge Occasionally
Finally, don’t forget to splurge occasionally on something that you love to eat. Pregnancy is a time for celebration. It’s Ok to have an occasional bowl of ice cream, slice of cake, or hamburger.

Just when businesses and advertisers think they have women all figured out enters a new category with serious buying power: the single woman. It is projected that in 2005 single women will spend $400 million dollars which has the business world standing up and taking notice. There use to be a time when single women were treated like outcasts and looked on with pity. Unmarried women were secretly called “spinsters” by friends and family if they were not wed by the time they hit 30. The tide is beginning to turn assingle women send out the message that they can do for themselves.

Businesses as well as politicians are now checking in to see what makes single women tick. The census data shows that 40% of women between the ages of 25 to 29 are not married. While 23% of women in the 30 to 34 age rage are not married. One can only guess that the percent ofsingle women over 30 will grow due to the fact that more women are stating that marriage is not of interest to them. The messages coming fromsingle women are diverse from choosing the single life as the preferred lifestyle, choosing career over marriage first, to one person homeownership.

Single women are beginning to take the country by storm, even on the top hit show “Desperate Housewives” half of the characters are single. Advertising companies are beginning to get it when it comes appealing to the single woman. One commercial has two women who are sitting down after a wedding doing a high five for having “not” caught the bridal bouquet.
